I am a Computer Science and Engineering student. I am newbie here, well I found this community when I was researching Web Analytics over the internet.

Well I developed a web site which is a programming base and one of my friends suggested to me that I need to focus on Web Analytics also which will help me to grow traffic of my website. I'm a newbie and I don't know how these things actually work. I searched about it over the internet. I am learning about it but it is still not clear to me till now. I'm totally confused about the term Web Analytics. Can anyone give their precious suggestion on this. Will be a great support. Does Web Analytics really matter for websites improvement ?

You can use wab analytic tools to analyze the behavior of your users on your site. Based on that info you can start optimize your site such that your users will stay on your site and find the information they are searching for.

But pay attention to data privacy when applying analytic tools. Depending on the country there are different regulations that you need to respect (e.g DSGVO).
